• Keno Strategies That Work

It won’t ordinarily be looked at as the best game in the field of betting, but keno has massive amounts of devout enthusiasts. As well it should! It’s a constantly entertaining lotto-esque game that’s simple to play, abundantly available in loads of alternate variations, and one that will pay out mega-dollars for those who master its innumerable subtle rules. But let’s deal with the beginner’s rules here.

When explaining keno to beginners, some wagering connoisseurs compare it to bingo. This is at least to some extent correct, in that both games are basically numerical. However, to take that comparison too far might be to undervalue the countless unique aspect that make keno so interesting. Not like bingo, keno enthusiasts have the power to choose the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is given an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to choose as numerous (or as few) numbers as he feels they need. And it doesn’t take a genius to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your desired numbers with a every day old#2 pencil like you had back in school.

After you have picked your numbers, take the game card back to the clerk at the keno booth. The nice person will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Don’t lose this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and wants help out, without a winning slip with you, you will collect exactly $.00 for your efforts.

Ok, there you have strategy #1: always make sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s advance to something a bit more advanced, what do you think?

After you’ve marked your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and watch the action take place on a video monitor. That is where the winning numbers show up in lights. If you have winning numbers, mark your card aptly. Sake care not to take your time, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You are required to get up to the keno booth to redeem your winnings, as a new round of keno will certainly begin within five minutes.

Strategy #2: always be sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to meet that five-minute deadline each time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the very same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from two to 20 slips. When the max number of games (matching the number of tickets) is completed, you will then be able to get off your lazy bum and go get your winnings.

Yet another opportunity is referred to as a "stray and play" keno slip, which usually lets you make number picks for thirty keno games or more. Heck, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to get your numbers. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after you by it!

And now you know a couple of essential strategies for winning keno. If you are an advanced user, they may seem quite obvious. However, it doesn’t hurt to brush up on the basic techniques, and if you are a newbie player, every tiny bit of advice will help make your keno experience more enjoyable.
